Former GRIM REAPER Singer To Guest On EMPIRES OF EDEN Album
May 1, 2010British vocalist Steve Grimmett (GRIM REAPER, LIONSHEART, ONSLAUGHT) has been added to the list of musicians who have recorded guest appearances on "Reborn in Fire", the upcoming album from EMPIRES OF EDEN — the brainchild of PAINDIVISION/ex-DUNGEON guitarist Stu Marshall.
Featured on the track "Beyond Daybreak", Steve "delivers an emotive and aggressive vocal performance that illustrates why he is one of the most influential voices in heavy music," according to a press release.
Commented Marshall: "Steve was one of the sought-after performers I tracked down and thankfully he agreed to be involved in the project. The track needed to be heavy while retaining the melodic flair that Steve is known for; as a fan, that's what I wanted to hear from him.
"This concept is one of the great things about EMPIRES OF EDEN: the singers all compose their own lyrics and melodies, providing a window into what makes many of them as great as they are."
A total of eight singers will be featured on "Reborn in Fire", including Zak Stevens (CIRCLE II CIRCLE, MACHINES OF GRACE, ex-SAVATAGE) and Mike Vescera (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, LOUDNESS, OBSESSION).
"Reborn in Fire" was mixed and mastered at Frontiers Studio in Sydney, Australia.
Due in early June via 7Hard Records, "Reborn in Fire" "delivers an epic and aggressive power metal assault in the style of AVANTASIA and the collaborative genius of AYREON," according to a press release.
